Shortcuts (hyperlinks) that link to programs (animations) will automatically warn and ask you to agree to continue. This warning is normal in Microsoft operating systems and can be switched off by lowering your security settings (not advised, see below). Each CD is scanned for viruses before publishing, but if you are concerned then scan the CD for viruses from your CDRom drive.

HELP- SOME OF THE SHORTCUTS DON’T WORK:
“Macromedia Flash Swf” files require Flash Player, free down load at: Adobe Macromedia Flash updates.

An Acrobat reader can be downloaded free at:
Acrobat reader download

“Powerpoint” & “Microsoft Word” viewers can be downloaded free at:
Microsoft Office Product Updates

HELP- NAVIGATING “POWERPOINT”:
“Vista” users will find that Powerpoint shows open as Presentation files. Select the “View show” option on the top menu bar.

Powerpoint shortcuts (hyperlinks) display the hand icon when the mouse runs over them. Left click once while the hand is showing to open it.

HELP- “WORD” OPENS BUT THE SHORTCUTS DON’T:
Office 95-2000 users require a left click to activate the document then subsequently left clicks only to open them. Office XP and Vista default setting is to hold down the Ctrl key and left click. This feature can be disabled in XP by opening a Word document and from the top menu bar selecting from the dialogue:

Tools >Options >Edit >Ctr+click uncheck

In Vista the same control is accessed by selecting the top left Windows logo, then viewing the Word Options at the base of the dialogue box.
HELP- SHORTCUTS IN WORD LINK TO SMALL SCREEN SHOWS:
Shortcuts or Hyperlinks from a Word Document to a Powerpoint show will display a reduced screen. This can be navigated as is, or can be converted to a full screen by selecting from the top menu bar:

Browse>Full Screen

HELP- VIEWERS ARE INSTALLED, BUT STILL A FAULT MESSAGE IS DISPLAYED WHEN I SELECT SOME OF THE SHORTCUTS:
These problems may have several causes:
Try removing the CD and giving it a clean.
Make sure that all the previous shortcuts you have opened are closed after viewing them. Your computer may be struggling under the load of running operations.
Try turning off your computer and turning it on again.
Try the CD on another computer. If it still fails you may need a new CD.

HELP- HTLM DOCUMENTS PRINT OUT WITH VERY SMALL TYPE FACE:
Select File from the menu bar. Select Print Preview from the drop down dialogue box. Select Change Print Size (or Alt+S).

HELP- IS THERE A SEARCH FUNCTION IN WORD DOCUMENTS:
Yes-select the button “?”

Word search can be activated by opening a Word document and from the top menu bar selecting from the dialogue:

Edit >Find Type the required word and key enter

HELP- IS THERE A SEARCH FUNCTION IN ACROBAT DOCUMENTS:
Yes-select the icon of the pair of “binoculars”

HELP- AFTER ALTERING A FILE I AM ASKED HOW TO SAVE THE READ ONLY FILE.
You can type into the assignments directly from the CD file and then print them out, but the file on the CD itself cannot be changed permanently (it is read only). If you choose to save a copy of your changed file then you must give it a new name and a place to save that copy in your hard drive (My Documents for instance). If you do not want to save the changes then when you close the file choose no from the request to save options,
Yes No Cancel.

HELP- ERROR MESSAGE USING VISTA ON MBS DOWNLOAD LAUNCH:
Vista users will find that the new version is missing the direct X file
d3drm.dll . This causes an error message when installing their Motorboat Simulator v1.2. It can be downloaded at Microsoft Office Product Updates

HELP- I WANT TO SEE A LIST OF THE FILES ON THE CD:
Go to the search button on the console.
