a. Poor atmospheric quality resulting from the rusting process.
b. Build up of
toxic gases by micro-organisms and in particular hydrogen sulphide.
c. Build up of poisonous gases due to contamination by operational equipment (exhaust, oil fumes, methane) or emergencies (chlorine from swamped batteries, fire extinguishers).
